About this ranking

What does "most widely held" mean?

It ranks securities by the number of distinct tracked managers reporting a position in them on their latest 13F — i.e. the most crowded positions among the funds we follow.

Is a crowded stock a good or bad sign?

It cuts both ways: broad smart-money ownership can signal conviction in a name, but very crowded trades also carry more risk if sentiment turns and many funds head for the exit at once.

How is it calculated?

For each security we count distinct holders across every tracked manager’s most recent 13F filing (long U.S.-listed equity only). Showing every stock held by at least two managers.
